The vibe here was family. The beds were great and each reasonably large room had central heating and a refrigerator. The breakfast was marvellous and the parking was onsite. We really enjoyed talking with really helpful and fantastic staff. Location: the hotel was right by Skilak Wildlife Refuge drive and Russian River Falls hike, the Kenai river, and Anchorage and Homer.

Fine views from the King Room made our stay special.
The Wi-Fi was painfully slow, constantly disconnecting us. I was frustrated because it made planning our outings a nightmare. Limited dining options nearby left us scrambling for meals.

Beautiful views of the coast from our King Room. Breakfasts were tasty, especially the fresh pastries. The only downside was the limited dining options nearby, made meal planning a bit tricky. Quick access to the beach for some refreshing walks made up for it!

Relaxing on the sun terrace while soaking in the views of the coast and mountains was just perfect. The only downside was the slightly slow Wi-Fi, but it really didn't matter much when you're in such a serene place 🌅

The lodge is perfect for families, with amazing guided activities. We especially loved the glacier boat tour-amazing! The hosts, Gary and Pam, and having a 24-hour front desk helped with our baby's needs.
My kids wished there were more outdoor play options.

Really good hospitality. Pam's breakfasts were a highlight, particularly the chocolate muffins that we couldn't get enough of. The fine views of the coastal mountains provided a perfect backdrop to our relaxing getaway. We encountered occasional slow Wi-Fi, and the location was slightly more remote than expected, which limited our dining options at times.
